I'd planned to do this on Halloween day itself, but that day was just too busy. So we made the ultra-creepy and fun Gak the day after instead. The boys played and played with it for probably an hour. We finally had to take it away to much pouting and grumpiness when dinner was ready to go on the table. Definitely will have to be a Halloween tradition, especially considering the fact that I now own a giant box of Borax that I have no idea what else to do with (Gak calls for only a single teaspoon of it! If anyone else out there would ever like to make Gak, please call me! I'd be happy to mail you a teaspoon or two, as long as the post office doesn't get worried about an envelope containing a suspicious white powder ... hmm).
And leaf raking. Ah, leaf raking. I won't really miss you next year when we're back to apartment living. But I think my little boys will miss the joy of jumping and rolling and tossing and ring-around-the-rosy-ing with you. And yes, the brown on Isaac's face is what you think it is. He'd been sampling dirt before Spencer redirected his attention to the joy of a leaf pile. Thanks, Spence. What a good big brother.
Cute video! We love Gak but we call it slime. Those leaves look so fun. We will have to see if we can rake up enough leaves to play in. Happy November.

Cute pictures! Looks like fun.
You can make your own laundry detergent using borax.... Just google it, you will find a "recipe".
Cute! If you're interested, I make my own laundry soap now (waaayyy cheaper) and it calls for Borax. Great way to use it up!
And I just saw that someone already said that! Well there you go. :)
